International students are housed in one of the several dormitories, according to places available and regarding the first-come-first-served principle. The price of a place in the dormitory is is 60 - 110 €. That includes utilities and wireless Internet. The bedrooms have 2 or 3 beds each. There are two types of rooms available. In ensuite rooms (110 €), two connecting bedrooms share a bathroom, a shower, and a kitchen with a fridge, oven, stove, and microwave. So it's usually 4-5 people sharing these facilities. For regular rooms (60 €), there is one block of showers and one big kitchen on each floor. All rooms are furnished and have internet connections. There are some dishes in the dormitory kitchens (pots, frying pen, spoons, cups, plates etc.). Also blankets, pillows and bed-sheets are provided, but you should bring your own towels.
If an international student does not want to live in a dormitory, there are many rooms and flats available for rent in Vilnius, although you should expect to pay more for this kind of accomodation. The price of studio appartments range from around 200 € per month (for simple places outside city center). You must know that winters are cold and the heating bills may be high in winter in older houses. You can find some options in one of these sites: www.aruodas.lt, http://domo.plius.lt/en/, http://rentvilnius.lt/index.php/home/. You may also look for possibilities to share a rented flat with other students. Another option is to live in a hostel - we have a partner hostel near Technical and Design Faculty campus (Filaret7 st. 17, Vilnius - http://www.filaretaihostel.com/en/).
