In 2023 year October 19 d. Students of the 1st year of the Construction study programme participated in a training seminar on painting walls and ceilings at the UAB “Tikkurila” Academy, located at 8 Sietyno Street, Vilnius.

In the theoretical part of the seminar, Rokas Vičkus, the head of the Academy, introduced the students to the most important criteria for choosing wall and ceiling paints (glossiness, resistance to cleaning, durability, eco-friendliness, etc.), the rules for the preparation, priming and painting of wall and ceiling surfaces, as well as the recommendations for choosing the right painting tools. The Academy leader also presented interior stains and varnishes, interior colour palettes, paints for wet rooms and introduced the participants to Tikkurila ColorUp! colour matching programme.

In the practical part, the students were shown Swedish Anza high quality painting tools (various types of brushes, rollers, putty knives, baths, etc.), discussed their advantages and wide range of applications. The students not only watched but also tried out for themselves how walls should be properly painted.

During the workshop, students who answered the questions correctly were awarded prizes – Anza tools.
