#suVIKOpavyko

29 April 2024 The international BIP project “The robots intellect: balancing robot” is presented at the Faculty of Engineering. The project participants were welcomed by the Head of the International Relations and Project Management Department, Joana Lapkovskaja, and the BIP project organiser Jolanta Pileckienė. The project involves 30 students and 5 lecturers from the Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering degree programmes from Vilnius College of Technology and Design, Tallinn University of Applied Sciences (Estonia) and Braganza Polytechnic Institute (Portugal). The focus is on the design, assembly and programming of a balancing robot – an inverted pendulum system. The main components are a 3D modelled mechanical design, integration of electronics with an ATmega328 microcontroller, PID control for stability, wireless communication via Bluetooth and a graphical user interface for real-time control. Working in teams, the students worked remotely throughout the spring semester. The project resulted in the design of balancing robots. We wish the students every success.
