On 2 May 2023, the international CIP project “The Robots Intellect: Line Follower” was launched at the Faculty of Engineering. The project participants were welcomed by Dr Gražina Strazdienė, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Joana Lapkovskaja, Head of International Relations and Project Management. The aim of the project is to design and manufacture a line-following robot that meets the requirements of international competitions. The project promotes technological development and cooperation between academia and industry. The project involves 27 students and 7 lecturers from three higher education institutions (Vilnius College of Technology and Design, TTK University of Applied Sciences (Estonia) and Bragansá Polytechnic Institute (Portugal)). The project participants had their first remote communication on 30 January 2023 and met on 2-8 May 2023. The students worked remotely throughout the spring semester. The teams consisted of students from Lithuania, Estonia, Portugal and the Electrical and Automation and Mechanical Engineering degree programmes. At the end of the project, a robotics competition will take place.
We wish the students good luck!
