On 11 April 2023, an educational trip to UAB Uponor was organised for first-year full-time students of the Building Engineering Systems study programme.

Aim: To introduce students to plumbing and heating systems piping and their design and installation solutions.

During the educational trip to UAB Uponor branch in Vilnius (Ukmergės st. 280), the company’s Technical Solutions Manager Artūras Laukys introduced the students to pipes, connectors and installation solutions used in heating and plumbing systems, and presented the engineering systems design programmes. Students had the opportunity to try out the company’s new and already widely used products and analyse their design and installation solutions.

Students will be able to apply the knowledge and practical skills acquired during the educational excursion to the preparation of the course work of the study subject “Heating of Buildings”, as well as to the practical and independent work tasks.

The trip was organised by Rūta Bilinskienė, lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering.
