On 22-26 April 2024, the Faculty of Civil Engineering hosted the ERASMUS+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Contact Week, which brought together guests from higher education institutions in Turkey, Latvia and Bulgaria. The virtual part of the BIP “Green Business” lasted for more than two months and now the partners of the College came together for a week of physical mobility organised in Vilnius, at the Faculty of Construction of VTDK.
The BIP was led by Jurgita Ginavičienė and Inga Piščikienė, lecturers at the Department of Business and Public Management.
Students from the second year of the Transport Logistics study programme, full-time and part-time, worked together with students from Istanbul Gelisim University (Turkey), the Latvian College of Business Administration (Latvia) and Todor Kobleshkov Transport University (Bulgaria) in cross-border and interdisciplinary groups, learning to understand, persuade, and share knowledge. Already at the beginning of February, the students were divided into six teams and came up with solutions for ecology, sustainability and the use of recycled materials in business.
An educational trip was organised for the participants of Green Business to the company Sluoksniai (Savanorių 176C, Vilnius), a pioneer in skateboard recycling in the Baltic States, which recycles large quantities of raw materials. The participants of the project could also enjoy a rich cultural programme: during the orienteering game, they got to know the Old Town of Vilnius and other places of interest of the capital city, visited various museums, took a train trip to Trakai, got acquainted with the history of Trakai Castle and the city, etc.
