“Erasmus+ teaching visit to Legnica Vitelon College in Poland
In 2023 year October 16-20 d. Irina Briuchoveckaja, lecturer at the Department of Business and Public Management, went on an Erasmus+ teaching visit to Legnica Witelona Collegium Witelona Uczelnia Panstwowa (Legnocos Collegium Witelona Panstwowa Uczelnia Panstwowa) in Poland.
She lectured to the second year students of the Faculty of Technical and Economic Sciences of this educational institution on “Changes in freight volumes in the light of geopolitical events in the region” and “Managing freight flows between Lithuania and Poland”. The lectures introduced students to the diversification of freight flows, possible new challenges for transport infrastructure and the impact of infrastructure on the distribution and movement of freight flows.
During the visit, on 19-20 October, Irina Briuchoveckaja, together with Laimute Sladkeviciene and Julius Gaidis, lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering, participated in the international conference “Innovative Solutions in the Economy Transport, Logistics & Production 2023”. At the conference, the lecturers had the opportunity not only to listen to interesting and topical presentations, but also to ask questions in the discussions on innovations in transport, sustainable logistics development and industrial digitisation. Participants of the international conference also had the opportunity to visit the Railway Infrastructure Research and Development Centre’s railway yard near Żmigród and to ride on the Centre’s train.
