The International Engineering Surveying Internship took place at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the College of Civil Engineering from 13-16 May 2024.

5 students of Tallinn University of Applied Sciences (Estonia) and lecturers Dr. Tarvo Mils and Dr. Raivo Ranne took part in the international internship together with the students of the second year of the second year of test studies of the study programme of Structural Engineering Systems (SS22N-1 gr.) and lecturer Natalija Augūniene.

During the internship, the students performed engineering geodetic measurements with electronic tacheometers “Leica” and automatic levels “Nicon”, processed the data, prepared geodetic drawings in AutoCAD program, got acquainted with the technology of measurement scanners and its application.

A lecturer from Tallinn also gave a lecture on laser scanning and its application in building design to students from SP23D-1, SS21D-1 and IP23D-1.

The International Engineering Geodesy Practicum brought together students and lecturers to share best practices and experiences in engineering geodesy. Working in teams, students gained experience, improved communication and cooperation skills, which will lead to better learning outcomes.
