On 25 April 2024, IS22D-1 students visited the Traffic Management Centre. The head of the Traffic Management Centre, Aleksejus Apanovičius, introduced the students to the management and organisation of traffic in Vilnius city, ensuring sustainable urban transport movement. At the Traffic Management Centre, students learnt about forecasting and managing public transport passenger flows and congestion. The centre’s manager explained the problems the centre faces during mass events and how passenger and traffic flows are managed in such cases.
