Vilnius College of Technologies and Design is the largest college with a technological and design profile in Lithuania. Seeking to ensure the quality of studies and to carry out the priorities established by the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Science and Studies, the College has since 2010 been publishing a scientific journal under the title “Technologijos ir menas. Tyrimai ir aktualijos” (Technologies and Art. Research and Topicalities). The publication is included into the Index Copernicus Journals Master List database.

The publication helps to implement the idea emphasized in the Law on Science and Studies that the connectivity of science or art and studies must be ensured through their close link with practice – i.e., lecturers and students should participate in applied research and development carried out on the request of business, industry and other organizations as well as in regional development projects and consulting activities.

The journal encourages lecturers to share their experience, knowledge, subject matter expertise and teaching skills and thus help the development of creative and scientific potential. This periodical of the College deals with topical issues of science, art and studies, focuses on the quality of studies and presents the results of research in technologies, art and social sciences.
