18 May 2023 Students from the Faculty of Civil Engineering took part in the 10th Lithuanian championship “Pasta Bridges 2023” organised by Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH). The students of the College’s Construction and Structural Engineering Systems study programmes, under the supervision of lecturers Anna Glinskienė, Dr. Eugenijus Gudonis and Dr. Marija Vaičienė, formed three teams: “Tired Pasta”, “FTPK5” and “Applied Macaroni”.
The Lithuanian championship brought together 17 teams of Lithuanian schools, gymnasium students and university students. During the event, bridges of different constructions made of different types of noodles were tested.
The bridges constructed by students of the College’s Faculty of Civil Engineering withstood 72.0, 32.7 and 10.2 kilograms!
