From 29 September to 17 November 2023, Rūta Bilinskienė, lecturer at the Department of Civil Engineering, took part in a traineeship at the representative office of the KAN-therm company in Lithuania (KAN Sp. z o. o. company).

The aim of the traineeship is to improve the competences of the subjects “Building Heating” and “Joint Project”.

During the traineeship, the lecturer gained knowledge of the latest heating system materials, heating system control and management equipment, improved her professional skills and updated her knowledge of designing building engineering systems. The lecturer Rūta Bilinskienė discussed the possibilities of further cooperation with the international company and organised a course of distance lectures-training for students of the Building Engineering Systems study programme.

The acquired knowledge will enable the lecturer to improve the content and methodological material of the Building Engineering Systems study programme subjects “Heating of Buildings” and “Joint Project”, taking into account the possibility of using design programmes in the study process. The experience gained during the traineeship will also be useful for the lecturer in supervising students preparing their final theses.
