On the evening of 9 February 2024, the Department of Business and Public Management at Vilnius College of Technology and Design invited all graduates of the Transport Logistics study programme to a contact evening.
The aim of this meeting was to establish an alumni club and to strengthen the link between the college community and alumni. It was a great opportunity for alumni to see former group mates, fellow students and lecturers and, of course, to make new friends and contacts. For the lecturers of the Department of Business and Public Management, it was an opportunity to renew contacts with former students, who can now be great helpers when organising educational lectures or excursions to companies, and when helping to find internships for students currently studying.
The event was welcomed by Dr Rolandas Vitkūnas, Director of the College, Dr Deividas Navikas, Dean of the Faculty of Construction, and Jurgita Ginavičienė, Head of the Department of Business and Public Management. Graduates and lecturers took part in a networking game, the aim of which was to get to know new people and to find at least one new person with whom to develop further cooperation. During the breaks of the event, participants were encouraged to leave a trace of their participation on a white canvas, which will be kept in the Department of Business and Public Management after the event.
It was great to hear the joyful buzz in the air, to share memories, to meet new acquaintances and to see new friendships forming.
The event was organised by Jurgita Ginavičienė, Head of the Department of Business and Public Management, and Virginija Tatarčuk, assistant professor of the same department and a graduate of the Transport Logistics programme.
