On 11 December 2023, a lecture on “The peculiarities of freight transport in the example of UAB MDI transport” was given by a guest lecturer from UAB MDI transport to the full-time students of the third year of the Transport Logistics study programme.

The aim of the lecture is to introduce students to the documentation used in the company for the carriage of goods, to discuss other conditions necessary for the successful carriage of goods and the peculiarities of the carriage of dangerous goods.

During the public lecture, the students were introduced to the activities and specificities of MDI transport UAB and shared best practices. The company’s representative pointed out the most important conditions to be respected when transporting goods, discussed the main documents, shared real-life situations when transporting normal and dangerous goods, identified the challenges, the most common problems and the solutions to them. The guest also gave an overview of the main market trends in logistics.

Students will apply the theoretical and practical knowledge acquired during the lecture by the guest from UAB “MDI transport” to the independent works and practical assignments of the study subject “Organisation and management of freight transport”.
