On 6-10 May 2024, Vaiva Mickevičienė and Edita Šarkienė, lecturers at the VTDK, went on a teaching visit to the University of Florence, Italy.
This university is a new partner of our college, so such visits help us to make new friends, start active cooperation and get to know each other better. Especially as several professors from the University of Florence have already had joint activities with our colleagues in the ADD ON SKILLS project and in the Faculty of Civil Engineering Days.
During a teaching visit to the University of Florence, lecturers from the College worked with students on topics such as digital construction (BIM), climate change and sustainability, and organised workshops for students. The students discussed the challenges related to humanity’s ability to adapt to a changing climate and how they, the engineering leaders of the future, can contribute to this adaptation and mitigate the damage caused by climate change.
