On 28-29 March 2023, the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences of the Bialystok University of Technology, Poland, hosted Dr Elżbieta Gołąbeska and Dr Ing. Marta Nalewajko.

During the teaching visit, lectures were given to Civil Engineering students on environmental issues in the construction sector, alkali-activated concrete (geopolymer concrete). Aluminosilicate materials were discussed, which are usually various production wastes such as fly ash, metallurgical blast furnace slag, etc. The production of geopolymer concrete by recovering large quantities of these materials and geopolymer fly ash concrete were widely discussed, and the results of research on the properties and structure of geopolymer stone were presented.
