CNC machine operators – programmers advanced course (120 academic hours)

Vilnius College of Technologies and Design’s HAAS Technical Training Centre (HTEC) runs courses for CNC lathe and milling machine (machining centre) operators – programmers. The aim of the training programme is to prepare CNC machine operators – programmers by providing the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to operate CNC machines. The objectives of the course programme are: to learn about the materials used in the manufacture of machinery, their properties and applications, to read drawings of medium complexity, to sketch, to check the accuracy of the parts produced, to operate the equipment safely, to understand the principles of programming, to acquire the skills of programming and controlling the CNC machines.

Initial competences required Must have computer skills.

  • Engineering materials.
  • Technical measurements.
  • Engineering graphics.
  • CNC machine tools and devices.
  • Development of CNC machine control programs.
  • CNC lathe control.
  • CNC milling machine control.
  • Practical work.
  • The training is provided by HAAS Automation Inc., USA. equipment:
    • 2-axis CNC turning centre ST-10;
    • MiniMill 3-axis CNC vertical machining centre.

Time New groups are elected from 13 May 2024 The courses will be held according to a timetable agreed with the participant.
Price 1500 EUR. Courses start with a group of at least 3 people.
