International relations

Vilnius College of Technologies and Design – where creativity meets innovation!

Objective

Manage and coordinate the College’s international relations with a view to the internationalisation of studies at the College, disseminate information about the College abroad, and inform and advise the College’s students and staff about international research and study, arts and sports programmes and foreign partners.

The main objectives are to:

  • develop international exchanges of students and lectures;
  • internationalise study programmes in cooperation with the College’s structural units;
  • establish a system for teaching in a foreign language in cooperation with the structural units of the College;
  • promote the College’s active participation in international organisations;
  • disseminate information about the various international programmes and the College’s international links to the College community and the public;
  • represent the College internationally;
  • encourage active participation of students and lecturers in international activities.

Department, performing the tasks assigned to it:

  • analyses the needs and opportunities of the College’s international activities and formulates the College’s international policy;
  • is looking for potential cooperation partners, maintains constant relations with partner foreign educational and other organizations, informs foreign partners about the most important college processes;  
  • organizes international events, educational trips to foreign countries of College students, teachers and other staff; 
  • organizes the reception of foreign guests at the College; 
  • organizes and administers international mobility within the framework of EU programs of students and teachers;  
  • together with College structural divisions organizes international teaching and study programs; 
  • initiates and helps for College departments prepare project applications for international programs, related to studies, science, art and sport; 
  • administers and according to the established procedure reports for the College’s implemented international projects; 
  • prepares documents regulating separate international cooperation activities; 
  • collects, systemizes and publishes information about various international programs in the areas of studies, science, art and sport; 
  • accumulates and systemizes information about College’s prepared project applications, College’s signed agreements of international cooperation;  
  • administers College website in a foreign language; 
  • together with other College departments organizes College representation abroad in exhibitions, fairs.
